Brain Health Counseling

At Hillcrest Family Services, the compassion and extensive experience of our counseling team means we provide a broad range of brain health services and treat a wide array of conditions for individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds.

Please complete the online Counseling Intake Packet.  After it is completed and submitted, a Hillcrest staff member will contact you to schedule an appointment.

No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. A discounted/sliding fee schedule is available.

Bridget Bartlett

Therapist

Specializations:
Bridget provides counseling services for children, adults and families. She uses a variety of therapy approaches, but prefers to individualize sessions with each client’s strengths so they can reach their full potential. Bridget is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as well as Multidimensional Family Therapy. Bridget uses a variety of therapy modalities during sessions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy. She is also trained in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) to help and support individuals who are feeling suicidal.

Performs psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses and prescribes medication to help treat brain health symptoms in children, adolescents and adults. I am board certified in psychiatry by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Brain health can be impacted by life experiences, genetics, and physical health. A healthy brain is of equal importance to one’s physical health. Maintaining a healthy mind enables you to understand and interact with the world around you while enjoying an emotional balance. My goal as a provider is to help individuals be the best that they can be each day. My hope is to take them to where they are today and help them get to where they want to be. Some areas that I treat include but are not limited to ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, PTSD, and Schizophrenia. On the side, I worked a couple years for Northeast Iowa Behavioral Health (NEIBH) in Oelwein and taught classes at Clarkson College in Omaha. Children, behaviors, and learning are my strong-suit, but I enjoy working with all ages and concerns. I view my calling as “helping others to be all they can be”.
