A Hillcrest Milestone
March 25, 2015
Hillcrest is celebrating a milestone today. March 26, 1975, a young woman started working for Hillcrest as a secretary. She said she would stay until her hogs got fat and could go to market.
Fast forward 40 years and today we celebrate that same woman, Nancy Rice, for her incredible service to our agency. Over her time she has seen many people come and go, seen the agency go through ups and downs, and endured it all with a smile on her face and a bag of Cheetos in her hand. Today she is the administrative assistant to the President/CEO and the “go-to” person for all areas of the agency. She is the history keeper and today the history maker with her 40 year anniversary. She does so much for so many. All 500 staff knows and respects her. The students on the main campus love coming to visit Nancy’s pigs that adorn her office and are always warmly welcomed and made to feel important. That is what Nancy does best, makes people feel like they are the most important person to her at that moment. Even if she has a million things to do, she will take the time to help when needed. So today, we honor Nancy as she is the most important person on this special day.
