Hillcrest provides residential treatment programs for behaviorally challenged teens that are highly respected and nationally accredited. We are one of only a few providers in the State of Iowa that provides a full continuum of residential services on one beautifully landscaped campus with excellent facilities, located in Dubuque, Iowa. These continuum of services include: foster group care, a dual-diagnosis Psychiatric Medical Institution for Children (PMIC), an emergency youth shelter, therapy and medication management, primary physical health care, and Integrated Health Home programming.

Our programs specialize in serving children with:

- Verbal and physical aggression
Our treatment goals are to:
- Improve the familial relationship and return the child to the parent(s) whenever legally possible
- Maintain community connections with the child improve the skills of the child in an effort to allow them to gain greater control of their lives
- To successfully prepare the child for a positive transition to adulthood
Our inter-disciplinary team includes:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s level administrative team
- Master’s level, licensed therapists
- Child psychiatrist
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
- ARNP for physical health care needs
- 24 hour nursing staff
- Dietician

- Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS)
- Initiatives Based Programming (high and low ropes course, and indoor rock climbing wall)
