Chad and Amy
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us as you make the difficult decision to place your child. We are Chad and Amy and this is our story. We hope you see the love we have for each other, our families, and our friends. We are excited to adopt and welcome a child into our family and home. We may never truly understand how difficult this decision is for you, but we thank you and admire the courage you have for making this choice. Please know that your child will receive endless love, attention, faith, and support from us, our families, and friends.
Amy grew up on a dairy farm which her dad operated while her mom worked in a factory in town. She is the youngest of four children in the family. Amy’s parents taught her to be respectful, to work hard at everything, and to be her own person. Family was always important growing up, and every holiday meant getting together with extended family at her grandparents homes. Her parents encouraged all the children to be active and involved in different activities while maintaining good grades in school. Chad was also born and raised on a dairy farm just outside of a small Iowa town. Chad’s family of five consisted of his parents, a younger sister and a younger brother. Both of Chad’s parents have owned and operated a dairy farm since they were married and continue to do so to this day. Chad’s parents taught him to be respectful and kind to everyone. His parents taught him the value of hard work.
We met in the summer of 2000. We had an immediate connection and spent a lot of time together the first couple months of our relationship. We knew the distance of college would be a test to our relationship but we remained committed and those four years made our relationship stronger. Chad proposed in the fall of 2005. After a year of planning, we got married in June of 2006. We enjoy spending time with each other and always make time for each other. We of course have our highs and lows but we always care for each other and are there for each other. We never rush into big decisions without weighing all of the pros and cons.
Chad is the manager of a CAD department at a local business specializing in fabric covered truss arch buildings and greenhouses of all shapes and sizes. Amy is an 8th grade teacher in mathematics as well as an introductory Spanish class. We live in a subdivision where several young families live. We absolutely love our neighborhood. Our house is a tri-level home and sits on over an acre of land. The inside of the house is fully remodeled. Our main level, which is the living room and kitchen area, is where we spend most of our time. We also have three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have a two year old teddy bear dog named Reggie and an eleven year old calico cat named Josie.
THANK YOU for taking the time to get to know us. We hope this provides a look into how we live and shows how much we have to offer your child. We will raise a child with respect, honesty and trust. We are so lucky to have such a great support system of friends, neighbors and family to guide us every step of the way. We know this is a difficult decision and want to assure you we will love, teach, and nurture your child. We are ready to become parents and will truly be grateful for the gift of parenthood when the time comes. Our life together has been a tremendous journey so far. We would love the opportunity for our family to be blessed with a child we can love and care for. Thank you for considering us as you make your decision.
