WIC Offers eWIC Cards

No more paper WIC Checks.  The eWIC card and it’s benefits are now available to all WIC families in Iowa.

What are the benefits?

• WIC food benefits will be added to your eWIC card at the beginning of each month.
• Simply swipe your card in any of the approved retail locations in the state of Iowa. Your card will cover all approved WIC foods and you will pay for your remaining groceries. (Some stores may require your WIC foods to be separated from your other groceries)
• Buy as many or as few WIC items on each visit to the store.
• A WIC Shopper App will be available for your smart phone. Scan food items to check if they are WIC approved. You can even check what foods are left on your card. Your receipt at the store will also tell you your balance of remaining foods.
